Have added the NEW AND IMPROVED lyrics for the Shoop Shoop Song and will devote some of this busy day to finally finishing the Bohemian Rhapsody. We only have two more sessions till the BENEFIT so......
Tell everybody you know about the concert on the 13th March, I want to fill the Church! It would be so great to get many people out there just to come see us sing. Also, Eastleigh Fusion Choir is on Facebook as well where you can find a link to order a T-shirt should you want to.
Second also.....don;t forget our performance at the Golden Hour next Thursday 4th March 2010.

Long time no update: the Choir Mistress has been busy indeed!
Until we finnish the Benefit Concert on 13th March 2010 we will be perfecting (where possible) the songs we already have in out repetoire. This includes Bohemian Rhapsody, valerie and ofcourse Proud so be prepared to work hard tomorrow!

Next Tuesday we will try "Valerie" the Amy Winehouse version. Let's leave "Hotel California" good song but the intro and outro are a bit longwinded for my taste. See you Tuesday!

Tomorrow we will have a bash at HOTEL CALIFORNIA and PROUD. I think we should rehearse PROUD as a group song so do have another listen.

Please find below a copy of the email I send out yesterday:
"Dear all,
When I started the choir I insisted on a PAYG system because I personally dislike committing myself long-term so I created the famous EFC contribution tin. For some time I have been noticing that not everybody contributes as loyal as they should with a staggering almost ten people failing to do so on the last session before Christmas! Now I am the first to admit that we have such a gay old time on Tuesdays that it sometimes doesn't feel like work (for me anyway) and that makes people forget that there is an actual contribution due. But, I do make- part of- my living with it and people not contributing for whatever reason it might be is something I cannot afford.
Therefore you will be asked on entering the venue to pay your contribution at the door. To make it go as smooth as possible try and bring cash coins. If you forget to bring money or the designated door person hasn't got the change in the tin this will be noted and you can then pay the next week. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause but this should enable all the contributions to flow smoothly again!"

Also, address for the Romsey Stroke Club where we will be performing next Tuesday afternoon has been added now as well. Sincere apologies about the delay! Am writing between coughs. Thanks to all of you who came and sang tonight for the Joe Glover trust in Colden Common. We shall never again under-estimate the power of the Sopranos, sorely where they missed!
Anywhoo, don't forget: Tuesday 22nd is the last EFC session of the year from 8-10PM featuring lots of Christmas songs and nice things to nibble on. Let's leave this year with a bam and singing!

Wave105 spotted us yesterday and wants us to come into their Fareham studio next Tuesday 15th December to record five Christmas songs. I will supply you with all the details when we assemble tomorrow but they can also be found by clicking here!
I HAVE ARRANGED FOR A CHOIR SESSION ON MONDAY 14 DECEMBER 8-9.30 IN THE UPSTAIRS HALL OF THE CHURCH FOR SOME LAST MINUTE REHEARSING BUT WE WILL GIVE THEM A WHIRL TOMORROW AS WELL OBVIOUSLY. HOPE THIS IS AGREEABLE TO ALL OF YOU!

Let me start by congratulating you all on a FAN-TAS-TIC performance at the Point in Eastleigh. I hear through the grapevine that they want us to come and perform at the annual Eastleigh Music Festival in 2010 so: well done you!

Tonight we will put some dots on I's and sing through as many songs as we can before the performances Friday and Saturday!
I will be adding more harmonies today and tomorrow and hope they have helped you. Also I have amended the list of songs to sing and put them in the correct order we are singing them in. Busy, busy, busy
I know how disappointed some of you were to not have been able to order a T-shirt so I have openened a special Eastleigh Fusion Choir acount at Vistaprint where you can log in and order yourself a T-shirt. It has been edited and is ready to be ordered but if you want to make changes, go right ahead but stick with the picture please.
PLEASE NOTE: You will not receive any updates on your order whatsoever if you use those login details but if you have a look at the T-shirt and how it was done perhaps you can open a acount and make one yourself!
AGAIN: I cannot stress this enough. Confirmation of your order will be sent to the choir email address (ME!) and I don't have the time to forward them. I will delete them as soon as they come in so DO create your own acount!
Will start working on the harmonies tomorrow, will send an update as soon as I am done (Probably Christmas 2012!) LOL

Hello everyone, I hope you enjoyed last night as much as I did. What a great sound we have in that Church. Next stop will be Winchester Cathedral (just kidding!)
Anyway, as mentioned before we will be sticking to the 20 songs or so on the songs website to prepare us for the various performances we have scheduled. I am picking up the permit to sing in Winchester City Centre on the 6th December 2009 and I hope a lot of you will be able to make it. We will be collecting money for Naomi House and have lots of fun doing it!

Have established a venue for the Youth Choir so there is no stopping me now!

Most of you are aware by now that Music with Savannah (ME!) is moving to Winchester this week. I have decided to start a Fusion Youth Choir there in January for the 12-18s among us who want to have as much fun as we do on Tuesday nights. The principle will be the same as on Tuesday so no auditions, experience or knowledge of music theory required only a high dosis of enthusiasm! Contribution will have to be paid monthly via PAYPAL or bank because cash is way too tempting for them probably. I mean singing or buying sweets? Tricky! I am still in the process of finding a venue etc. and the music will be more modern than what we do on Tuesdays although I will sneak in some of my personal favourites. Well, that's it for now. Savannah is busy!

COMPETITION!
As I mentioned yesterday at choir we will be singing Julie Andrews's witty version of "My favourite things" (see SONGS page for lyrics) but we are two verses short of making it work with the backing track. So, the competition is that the two people who write the verses we will use in two weeks time during rehearsal won't have to pay contribution fee to choir for a month! You can email it to me at info@EastleighFusionChoir.co.uk and put COMPETITION in the subject box, or bring it in next Tuesday! I look forward to receiving lots of entries!
